POTENTIAL OF ELECTRIC SOYBEAN ROASTER COST/EARNINGS:

 

The following numbers show the potential of our electric soybean roaster.

 

The roaster has a capacity of 2.5 tons of roasted beans cooked for 24 hours. It takes almost 37 bushels of raw beans to make 1 ton of roasted beans.

 

EXAMPLE:

 

Cost:

$   4.20 price of beans

x       37 bushels

$155.40 cost of beans

+  10.00 cost of electricity

$165.40 beans + electrical cost total

+ 35.00 roasting/ton

$200.40 cost/ton for roasted beans

 

 

Earnings / Day:

$40.00 x 2.5 tons = $100.00/day

  35.00 x 2.5 tons =     87.50/day

  30.00 x 2.5 tons =     75.00/day

  25.00 x 2.5 tons =     62.50/day

 

 

Earnings / Month:

$100.00 x 30 days = $3,000.00

    87.50 x 30 days =   2,625.00

    75.00 x 30 days =   2,250.00

    62.50 x 30 days =   1,875.00

 

 

SUMMARY:

The above data show an example of the potential cost and earnings of our roaster. We have two roasters in operation doing custom work running at least 3 weeks/month, generating an income of $200.00/day.
